Daredevils Pizzeria in Devil Hills, North Carolina joined social media because they knew it was a great advertising tool plus unlike all other avenues, it is immediate and interactive. Bill Golden, Owner/Operator decided to share his thoughts on Twitter with us.
Q: When and why did you join Twitter?
A: Twitter is another advertising tool. It's free, 24
hours a day and 365 days a year. It is immediate, interactive and able to reach people just
about anywhere.
Q: We have found only about 50% of pizzerias have a presence
on social media. What advice do you have for pizzerias in terms of social
media?
A: Get a twitter account! If you don't do anything at least
claim YOUR name or what YOU are. Younger people are on it. It's a great way for free FREE advertising.
Q: What you have found to be the most effective posts on
Twitter?
A: Daredevils is in a vacation and tourist area and we are posting
pictures, usually beach pictures, posts about the local weather. In the fall, winter and spring we post more about specials. We're a pizza place so the menu
is pretty much set. If there is a menu change it is drink specials so it's a great way
to get that info out there.
Q: What is the key to success with social media for any
pizzeria?
A: Be active! Try and be original and try to compose each post and not do the same exact thing over and over. It may be tough but do
something different. Most important, just do it! Be active.
Q: What is unique to your restaurant that you try to
highlight on social media?
A: We make our own dough. We are locally owned and operated
for over 20 years and we are right across from the beach.
